I’m a travel writer, journalist, editor and photographer based in south London.

 I’ve co-authored/updated Rough Guides to Argentina, Australia, Bali & Lombok, Bolivia, Central America on a Budget, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, India, Nepal, South America on a Budget, and Southeast Asia on a Budget.

I’ve also worked on Rough Guides to the Baltic States and Paris, co-wrote the Buenos Aires Essential Guide app, and contributed to the DK Eyewitness Guides to Chile & Easter Island and Bali & Lombok, and DK Top 10 Cancun and the Yucatán.

A former news and sports reporter for the Evening Standard in London, I’ve worked for newspapers, magazines and websites around the world, including the Guardian, the Independent, the Mirror and Time Out Buenos Aires. I continue to write and take photographs for publications including the Guardian, the South China Morning Post, ABTA Magazine, Cool Places and www.roughguides.com.

My travel writing has been published in four anthologies – Earthbound, Make the Most of Your Time on Earth, Make the Most of Your Time in Britain, and Bucket List: 1000 Adventures Big and Small (published in late 2016) – and I also contributed to Brazil Inside Out.
